About the role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager (Australia & NZ), you will be responsible for the New Zealand arm of our sales business tasked with developing and managing a dynamic sales team and creating an environment for success. Your influence will drive sales initiatives, increase market share, improve profitability, and lift engagement with our diverse range of customers.
You will work with the team to lead sales strategy for the region, to understand their respective markets and provide guidance ensuring our approach is fresh, innovative and market leading for the across the New Zealand territories.
This will include:
- Developing tailored solutions and strategy based on market conditions, trends and analytical data to empower performance across your team
- Monitor competing marketed and companies providing timely reports on market share, or market penetration
- Identify current prospects and sales leads
- Strategically delegate opportunities across your team to maximise results
- Implement effective Account Management principles to ensure ongoing growth of opportunities with both current and prospective customers
- Regional authority on responses to request for tender and quotations with support from the greater national sales team
- Develop team targets, drive activity for staff to achieve success
- Manage forecasts, budgets and targets, monthly/quarterly/yearly
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the sales team to ensure customers are provided with accurate technical information and quotations for all service
- Identify the technical training needs for all products and services and advise on the technical knowledge requirements of the regional sales team
About you
- A proven track record working in the Radio/Telco industry, in a Sales environment
- Strong leadership experience, with ability to lead a regional team of Business Development Executives, Account Management and support staff
- Excellent Communication and Customer advocacy skills
- A demonstrated ability to integrate technical solutions aligning to both customer and organisational needs
- Previous experience in developing and managing tender submissions and quotations
- A history of developing and managing high performance sales teams
- An analytical minded approach to ensure accurate forecasts, budgets and targets for the team, but also to analyse market conditions and trends
- A strong “can do” proactive attitude focused on growth and continuous improvement of your team
- Resilience and drive to excel in an often-fast paced environment and lead your team by example.
